starting them young

Aaaah Louboutins ... There's nothing more desirable to women than those distinctive shiny red soles. Can you guess who owns these beauties?

Surprise, surprise, the Louboutin-shod feet belong to Barbie! Pretty cute campaign with Mr. Louboutin himself appearing alongside the chic redhead.

As if the Louboutin fixation hasn't already reached epedemic proportions, now they're trying to get them while they're young. Barbie by Christian Louboutin is now for sale on Net-a-porter for $150. This Barbie comes with 4 red-soled pairs of Louboutins each with their own boxes and shoe bags.

I would imagine Ms. Suri already has one of these.

I don't know how I feel about it. Extremely envious of uber rich 5-year-olds who get to play with Louboutins, I suppose. The fashion world never ceases to amaze me.

today i'm loving: cool tableware at horne

If I were one of those chicks who was so loaded that she can give the most exquisite hostess gifts, I would do all my shopping at Horne. I mean, wouldn't these bone china spoons by Caroline Swift just delight a happy little homemaker?

Except two of them (yes, just two!!) will set you back $75. Do I look like I'm married to Tiger Woods??

Another really cute would-be-hostess-gift are these winged cups by Estudio Manus. Those with 18K gold tips cost a pretty little penny at $215.

If I had 80 mil, I could totally buy a lot of very cute porcelain spoons and gold-tipped cups. Ok sleepiness talking. Night all!

harajuku lovers snow bunnies

When I first saw the Harajuku Lovers perfume, I all but keeled over from their cuteness. And I was super shocked when my girlfriend Kathryn gave me Angel for Christmas and I found out it smelled sooooo good. So yeah, I guess you could say I'm a fan. But it just makes me love them more when I hear that they made a special Snow Bunnies edition for Christmas! How. Cute. Is. That. !!!! I'm gonna have to get some of those to stuff some stockings ... Am I in a Christmas-y mood or what? Hope you are too!

today i'm loving: rm by roland mouret for net-a-porter

I am drooling over the RM by Roland Mouret collection for net-a-porter. Wonderfully detailed cuts with just the right amount of pleating, nipping and tucking to make a solid piece of clothing incredibly chic. I am dying over that beautiful teal colored, one-shouldered dress shown above, which will only set you back $3,070 (yes, I am being sarcastic).

I wonder, how can one wear a $3,070 dress when that amount of money can cover rent in a 3-bedroom in Manhattan? Or take me on perhaps a weeklong trip in Paris? Always baffles me ... I might, in a really insane moment, be able to talk myself into buying a bag for that price because you can at least use the bag everyday. But a dress, even one as gorgeous as this, can only be worn so many times ... What it must feel like to have that much money to burn ...

As for me, back to the salt mines!

UPDATE: Editing yesterday's post on the Theory sample sale. According to Christina from Theory's PR division, the sale kicked off a day early. Will have to restrain myself from sprinting there after work today!

I'm still jonesin' for these Theory skinny pants that I spotted at the Outlet for just $75, but having just charged $190 on my Visa for that wonderful puffercoat, I couldn't let myself pick up any.
