Ever since I saw Viv at Ish & Chi's lovely pink tips, I've had pink hair on the brain. It could never work for me because a) pink hair doesn't fly in a conservative workplace and b) I would look like a Harajuku girl all day, everyday. But I like to daydream. My dabbling in pink will have to be limited to perhaps a Halloween costume involving pink hair. Or I could just drool over these images from BCBG Holiday catalogue all day ...

I am just loving this campaign, which puts together two things that I love: shoes and the city of New York!

While I normally eschew shopping for traveling and eating well, a change in season inevitably gets my fashion mojo going. But for now, while I chip at my credit card bill, I'll limit my obsession to Bergdorf Goodman's Shoes About Town page, which collects lovely Instagrams that show Louboutins flitting about the farmers market and snakeskin Gucci platforms parked on Park Avenue. Friday night at the Standard Beer Garden, I fell in serious lust. My friend Esme was wearing these amazing mohawk earrings and I couldn't keep my eyes off them all night! So here I am, with a full-fledged obsession with jewelry by Elizabeth Cole. How cool are these? 

Easy on the eyes but not too easy on the pocket with prices reaching $333. The little starburst earrings on are quite affordable at $40, however. But the mohawk earrings, which come in turquoise, pink and dark blue will haunt my dreams until I decide to forego a trip for a pair of sparkly little things.

Now that Thanksgiving is over, I am officially giving myself over to unrelenting holiday cheer. Nothing says "Happy Holidays" like drizzling your clothes with sparkle, as far as I'm concerned. And I just love, love, love the sequins and shine coming from Club Monaco this season.

I wonder if Santa Claus has any slouchy sequined navy blue blazers in his workshop for good little girls?

Aren't these citrus-hued jelly driver's shoes from Tory Burch just adorable? Jelly shoes like these are perfect for rainy days during spring and summer, when rubber rain boots are just way too stuffy to put on. I apologize for falling off the face of the earth. I've been so preoccupied lately with life and the million and one things than can go wrong with my little 30 Before 30 Project so I've been unable to throw some TLC toward this blog's way. Several things have already gone awry with my upcoming road trip at the end of the month with Kate but I am fervently hoping that our luck will turn soon and we'll have nothing but good times on our trip. 

Between August 24 and 30, we'll be galavanting surrounded by awesome scenery like this (though we won't be as well-dressed, that's for sure) ...

J. Crew's catalogue team and I seem to be very much in tune this year. First they do a shoot in Portugal and next thing you know, I've got a ticket booked to Lisbon. Then after I go and plan an entire trip in the deserts of Utah and Arizona, look who comes up with an entire catalog photographed amidst just the scenery I plan to visit. Let's stop fighting it J. Crew. You and I are soulmates.

It still baffles me why I didn't use to think Scarlett Johansson was hot. It wasn't until I saw the movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona that I realized just how ridiculously gorgeous she is. I totally love her in this season's Mango campaign. She makes me want that lacy dress above badly, but it costs $199. Who are you kidding Mango? I'll lay in wait until it goes on sale.

today i'm loving: im-hm resort

Nothing puts me in the mood for summer quite like gorgeous swimwear shots. I am just loving these pictures from up-and-coming online boutique IM-HM Resort. The site launches in July and will be fully stocked with all sorts of sexy little things to wear to sunny locales year-round, from ultra-flattering swimwear to decked-out statement jewelry. I am just smitten with these two pictures below. The bikinis are by Gottex, but the true eye-catchers in my opinion are those accessories! These stunning necklaces are by Nicole Whisenhunt, a old friend of mine from Manila. I still remember when she first started dabbling in making accessories, and it's simply thrilling to see how her pieces have evolved.

Thanks to another very dear friend and in my eyes, the ultimate authority in beach chic, Erin Campos, who let me have a little sneak peek at what IM-HM Resort has in store for us. I absolutely cannot wait for this website to launch!

today i'm loving: maria sharapova for cole haan

Saw this picture a few days ago when I was walking past the Fifth Avenue Cole Haan store. Maria Sharapova is seriously hot. What I would do for those legs! That tan! And oh ... those shoes!

The Maria Sharapova collection for Cole Haan is getting cuter and cuter! There are gladiator sandals, edgy cutout booties, chic ballet flats and sexy pumps, all spruced up with Nike Air technology to make them that much more comfy.

I'm extremely tempted to get the Air Gwaltney OT Pumps in gunmetal for the September trip to Ibiza. If Sharapova can squat and bake cookies in them, I can certainly dance my butt off in them all night long, yeah?

The only problem with these shoes is that they cost a pretty little penny at $198. Will have to stalk them until they go on sale.

I wish I'd been more committed in my quest last week for black ballet flats with good cushioning. Because of my recent running ambition, I'm trying to wear shoes that have more support. My pain management doctor says that my ankles are weak, so I really shouldn't eff with them even more. I was hoping to find some Cole Haan Nike Air flats when I went to Macy's in Jersey Shore last Sunday because I had some Christmas gift cards to spend. I didn't find any and ended up getting these Dolce Vita flats, which while gorgeous, are not the most comfortable flats ever. They kinda hurt actually. Even with gel inserts put in. Sadness.

Lesson learned. Stick to the game plan next time, Missy.

We partied here last Saturday to celebrate my dearest friend Céline's birthday and it was pretty fabulous! My designer friend Kate and I spent a chunk of our evening hatching diabolical plans to smuggle out the Stephen Sprouse couch covers ... well until "Sexy Bitch" came on and distracted us, at least. It was a dreadful night to be out in New York, what with whipping winds and constant rain ensuring everyone got good and drenched. But it made our stay at Above Allen pretty great. The bar was nicely full without being overly crowded, just perfect for swigging G&Ts and dancing our butts off. This terrace bar is on the 7th floor of Thompson Hotel on the Lower East Side, and has some pretty stunning views of the city:

It is however, only open to members, hotel guests and whomever the doorman deems suitable, so look your best if you're going. I'd leave the Sprouse Neverfull at home though. You wouldn't want to blend into the upholstery.

today i'm loving: sock theory

It's been raining and freezing all weekend, and all I've wanted to do is stay curled up under my duvet, all warm and cozy. That could be why I am just loving Sock Theory today and all the cozy, adorable socks they have for sale. The ones I ♥ the most are these zip-up over-the-knee socks. They're just $5! Shipping might be more expensive. Must stock up on about a dozen then?

How cute are these pencil socks? It would be such a giggle to wear these under my staid black boots at work.

I'm also just enamored with these Japanese arm/leg warmers. Only thing is, I don't quite know how to wear these with shoes! Scrunched up over Maryjanes?

Man that last picture has me pining for green grass and sunshine. Spring, hurry up already!

How can you not love a woman who can graciously accept an Oscar and a Razzie all in the same week? There are quite a few Sandra Bullock movies that I'm not too keen on (*cough* The Proposal *cough*) but I've always liked Sandra herself. And after seeing these two acceptance speeches for getting Worst Actress and Best Actress awards in the same weekend, I love her a little extra.

I've long loved the exquisite clothes and accessories by Temperley but the prices are just too far out of my reach. Alice Temperley is a London-based, Central Saint Martins-trained designer who debuted her line back in 2000. Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightly are just some of her celebrity fans. Temperley's highly embellished creations cost a pretty little penny with dresses starting at about $895. To cash in on a younger, contemporary customer, Temperley has created a diffusion line called Alice by Temperley. While Temperley has a more feminine-vintage vibe, Alice by Temperley veers more towards a rock-and-roll meets vintage aesthetic.

I am seriously lusting over the red polka-dotted minidress and navy polka-dotted skirt from the collection but damnit, even the diffusion line's prices are out of my reach. The cheapest item in the collection (a jersey tee) ringing in at $95. Those with fatter pocketbooks might find these a bargain but I'm sadly not at that point yet.

I would love to have that entire outfit on the left to wear for a summer day at work that progresses into a night out in the city. And the red dress would just be lovely for a dressed-up Sunday brunch. A girl can dream right? 

today i'm loving: spring dressing at leifsdottir

New York has been getting pummeled with snow all February, and I was actually fine with it because I've come to appreciate a great snow day. Or so I thought until I wandered onto the new Leifsdottir website and saw all these pretty spring dresses ... oh, winter, just leave us alone already will you?

I have a long night of clubbing in store tomorrow with Nath's blowout at Juliet and Yssa's party at Star Lounge. I want to get decked out, of course, but it'll be puzzling looking for an outfit. Dressing up is just so much more complicated when the ground is piled up with snow! Grrr ...

Can't even bear to look out the window and see how much more snow has fallen ... how I wish that when I open my eyes tomorrow, I'll see sunshine and leafy green trees! Fat chance.

today i'm loving: siri tollerød as cat lady

I don't know if it's because I feel like I didn't get much time to veg out at home this weekend, but today I find myself mildly obsessed with these images of Norwegian model Siri Tollerød from “The Vagaries of Fashion” shot by Miles Aldridge for the May 2008 issue of Vogue Italia. I've never seen such a glamorous cat lady.

If you suffer from winter blues at all, these highly saturated images can be pretty therapeutic. Makes me want to swathe the apartment in full on color!

Doesn't Siri look just like a living, breathing Barbie doll? Oh when I was a kid, I SO wanted to be this blond and blue-eyed. I've gotten over that (wouldn't trade being Asian and looking like a teenager for decades for anything) but I'm still fascinated by her look. 

She also wants to make be break out the knitting needles. On our trip to Pennsylvania last month, Zoe taught me some knitting basics. Might want to do more of that.

So how was this for my first non-food post in ages? Hahaha I'm pretty rusty, I know, sorry about that. The truth is, I have another foodie post in my back pocket because I'm insatiable like that. But I will spare you the gluttony for a few days at least.

Hope y'all had a nice and relaxing weekend. I had to work, but I made up for it with a good amount of partying. This week's social calendar looks pretty full so I'm gonna try to get some rest before it all starts up again. Here's hoping the week zips by in a jiffy!

As much as I relish rolling my eyes at this Hallmark holiday, I truly am happy for those who've found love. That said, I still hid all you mushy people from my Facebook feed today just to escape all the sweetness! Hahaha ...

You know what's funny though? I seem to be celebrating Valentine's Day more now that I'm single  compared to when I was attached! Last night we had a great group dinner at DBGB, and today there are things planned like a girl's brunch and drinking marathon. I've learned that one of the best things in life is knowing that love and happiness can come from many parts of your life, not just one. 

So even though it irks me to say it, I will ... hope you'll have a happy heart's day, lovies!
