The Boot Hunt Continues

I got some good feedback last time on the Frye over-the-knee boots I was craving so I thought I would post this new shoe that I'm liking to see if 1 or 2 people have any thoughts. I NEED flat boots because, well, I live in New York and there's no other way to run around the city. And I am back to wanting shorties after trying on over-the-knee boots today and realizing they're not that comfy when one is just 5 feet tall and change. I think these Colin Stuart cuffed motorcycle booties from Victoria's Secret are a great deal. They have a sufficient amount of hardware, and would look so cool with leggings or just tights and a dress. Best of all, they're leather and just $88! I want them in black.

Thoughts??? Please???

what a sad, sad little girl contributing to the world with her petty and insignificant wants ... why must there be so many of you?

If it helps you sleep better at night, this particular sad and petty little girl blogs to de-stress but works for the United Nations 5 days a week. I hope that's enough of a contribution from me to the world for you, sweetheart.

Cel, went boot shopping this weekend in outlet land-Jersey. I was hunting for FLAT, knee-high brown and black boots and I could not find any that were not loose on the legs. These shorties are pretty cute. I think you can carry it! As for me, I might look like Robin Hood's young GF. Hey, that's an idea for halloween. Cris

Cris, I have a pretty good pair of boots from Aerosoles that fit right around the calves, try those? Not too expensive also, less than $100. You're too funny, h'wag naman Robin Hood! Pick a sexy costume, promise? Heehee.
Will miss you at lunch!

Just a follow-up: finally got my dark brown Rockport lace up boots ala Ann Demeulemeester from 6pm.com and I just love them because they're cheap, stylish and comfy. Btw, got lucky- will be getting black riding boots at 50% off from RL, courtesy of a co-worker's sister who works there. http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3195194&cp=1760782.1898624&view=all&ab=viewall&parentPage=family

Good luck with the hunt!

Aggie you're sooooo lucky!!! Those RL boots look delish! Such a classic pair too, they'll look great for a loooong time. I wish I could do the Demeulemeester-esque boots too but I need a pair I can stomp all over the city in. But I'm gonna go check out 6pm.com right now and see if your luck rubs off on me!

Hey!

can't believe the first comment...we work hard and give back and are entitled to discretionary spending once in a while!

I am not a fan of these boots, they kinda remind me of puss in boots......I don't know.... :-S

Sonu, this is why I love you and I love that you read this because you let me see my shopping wants in the proper perspective! Puss n boots plus Cris' earlier Robin Hood reference all add up to a NO. Moving on ...

Cee, wow I love your blogsite! Been asking my brother's help to help create me one but med school admission stress is enough grief for him right now.

I say go for Fryes! I have 12 pairs of boots and 6 of them are all Fryes. They're so comfy and you won't regret them quality-wise. Check out www.fryeboots.com. They sell out quickly but you can always check out shopbop or piperlime or zappos or you may go to Bloomingdales to see them in person first or snag a pair right away! There's one cool store in Aspen, Colorado where they sell all sorts of boots and premium jeans. By May after the sk season they have them all on sale including Fryes. Will look for their business card and pass the info to you later.
