Fashion Inspiration for the Day

I am obsessed with this chick's look, as captured by The Sartorialist. So so effortlessly chic! I am totally in love with her boots! And she makes me wanna banish my flat iron and break out the curling iron.

Update: I got this Alloy catalog in the mail, and there are these boots for just $39.50 that could be dead-ringers for the ones this Parisian chick is wearing.

Close enough? What do you think?

Those boots are great!

But I'm really commenting about your post awhile ago about 22 Pell Hair Salon. Did you go get your hair cut there again? I need a haircut and I need it cheap, and I can speak some Mandarin. How Chinese are their haircuts? Do they insist on thinning too much?

I only found your blog through searching for Chinatown haircut places, but I love the sale info, thanks!

Susan thanks for the comment! My guy at 22 Pell is Kass. He speaks no English but what I usually do is bring him a few pictures of the cut I want and he executes quite perfectly! I don't think he thins my hair too much but *disclaimer* I have very thick hair so if he does some thinning, I appreciate it. I have never ended up with thick on top, too wispy at the bottom hair though. My cut usually costs $25, then I tip $5 so it's $30 total. Not bad right? I don't know how the other guys there are but Kass I definitely recommend! Good luck and let me know how it goes!
