Last night, Ludette and I watched Adele perform at the Roseland Ballroom. What an amazing show that was. There was no fuss or fanfare to it; her backdrop was a carpet of twinkling lights, she wore simple striped top and a red flower pinned behind her ear throughout the show. A band and some strings accompanied her, though at times it was just her and her guitar on stage. There was no need for anything more really because that voice ... oh. my. goodness. Adele has an incredible instrument. Clear as a bell, raspy when it needs to be, and just brimming with soul. It is truly a gift to hear her sing. Definitely a show that I would watch again and again if I could. Thank you Ludette for the treat, you are the best!
