i think i'm gonna faint

I cannot remember the last time I wanted something so badly. I don't care if these Jimmy Choo/Hunter wellies cost $395. I will never buy another pair of wellies again if I had these. I probably won't even buy regular flat boots if I had these. They're already sold out at Net-a-porter but I found my size at ... I'm not telling until I order it! But first I need somewhere to ship it to ... oh dear doorman, I'm missing you badly right now ...

UPDATE: My dear friend Che let me ship my Choo Hunters to her apartment so I ordered it! It was a pre-order though and I'm not entirely sure when exactly I'll get them ... which is good, I suppose, because I can save up for them until they arrive. So now that I've secured myself a pair, I can divulge the source: Saks! They're still available in sizes 4, 5 and 6 so if you're a wellie freak like me, click click click! Ahhh nothing like shopping to start off the day ...

What happened to saving and not shopping for real?

Plus, these boots don't seem to be the boots to end all boot cravings ... I personally find wellies uncomfortable and sweaty. But if you're willing to deal with stinky feet just so you can say your sweaty feet were submerged in Jimmy Choo goodness, go right ahead.

Easy girl, the last big ticket item I bought (which I define as anything over $300) was a Chloe bag in 2007 so I think it's okay to spend now if I really want to, right?

I guess it's not the boot to end all boot cravings for everyone, but it's pretty close for me because I've been looking for wellies that I can get away with wearing to work or out and about on rainy/snowy days. My personal view on wellies is that they're essential. I've been through the horrific experience of walking through a New York thunderstorm without them, and having my regular shoes turn into gunky little swimming pools. I'll never forego wellies to submerge my feet in THAT ever again!

As for the comfort issue, I picked these wellies specifically because they're comfortable. Hunter boots are waaaay comfy. I don't think the Royal Family's been wearing Hunters for ages because they cared about the style cachet. Also Hunter makes wool inserts that you can wear inside Hunter boots to prevent the sweaty mess you're talking about.

There's really no need to get all worked up about another woman's purchases, is there?

Wowww! Go you because I splurged on a pair of wellies too before (if you can remember the MMJ ones from 2 years ago). And it's been with me since SF and now the Pacific NW weather. Anyway, you'd bee shining the streets of NYC with those on!

Thanks Eunice! I totally remember those MMJ wellies, I loooove wellies. I got this beautiful pair from the Gucci outlet for just $90 BUT the calves are so tight so I can only really wear it in the winter when I'm in tights cos I otherwise can't get them off me! Hunters are a bit more loose around the calves so hopefully they'll be my salvation!
