I rented Bonnie & Clyde and found myself more enthralled by the wardrobe than by the story. Not that the movie's not great, but if I could raid a movie character's wardrobe it'd have to be Bonnie's. Hats off to costume designer Theadora Van Runkle, who pulled together a crisp and slick wardrobe for the movie. The tailored knee-length skirts, delicate body skimming blouses, that iconic scarf, the berets and the fedoras—it's all every bit as chic today as it was then.
