Image via mc8photo_usa's photostream I'm determined to see the cherry blossom trees in bloom this year at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden (yeah right, I say that every year). Joy of joys: I discovered this handy tool on their website that tracks the cherry blossom trees in the garden to ensure we don't trek all the way to Brooklyn just to find the trees either still budding or all bloomed out. Pretty nifty, I think. The Sakura Matsuri (Cherry Blossom Festival) takes place this year on May 2–May 3, 2009 from 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Click here for more information.

Do it! It's a bit of a trek from Manhattan, but I hope it's worth it!
Cel! I just went there today! If I were you, wait until early May.. they charge 8 bucks for entrance.. there were only about 5 cherry blossom trees that "blossomed". i.e., dead pa yung majority so not worth 8 bucks to spend on if you go this week!

Joy - awww sorry to hear that! At least you saw a few ... wala namang cherry blossoms sa Philippines diba, so at least you saw some! Anyway see you tomorrow ok???
